JNT Fire Engineers (Ghatkopar, Mumbai) runs fire-safety work across many building sites at once. Staff go straight to site, contract labour is counted by supervisors, and the office only finds out who worked where at month end. So a site attendance system was built — a phone app for the field and an admin panel for the office.
A register in the office cannot prove anyone reached the site. WhatsApp location photos get forwarded, sent late or not sent at all, and many sites — basements, pump rooms, new towers — have weak or no network.

Contract labour does not have phones on the system, and a punch app alone does not stop someone from changing the phone clock or reusing an old selfie. The owner also wanted to know what labour actually cost on each project.
